Greenville, this is a deep and very heartfelt thank you. This weekend’s show was incredible and I'm so grateful for you. If you bought a new pot, thank you so much! If we met and you followed me, welcome aboard- I’m so glad you’re here! If you wanted something and I was sold out I apologize- the new blue glaze was more popular than I expected and I sold out of several things early. I'm hoping to do an online update later in the summer; I'll make sure to have blue flower vases/utensil holders and some blue and orange bud vases for those of you who were hoping to snag one this weekend. I'm planning to take the rest of the month out of the studio to catch up on some deferred life maintenance stuff (my lawn badly needs to be mowed, for example) but I'll see you back here soon. If you're in town and want to check out my work, I'm planning to restock my booth at the Woolworth Walk tomorrow or Wednesday. Much love. 💕💕💕

I can’t believe I’m saying this but all the pots are fired and processed and (almost 😜) packed for Artisphere, happening this Friday-Sunday in Greenville SC. 🌷🌷🌷 A question I get asked a lot at shows is “when (/how) do you put the crystals in the glaze?” and the answer is I don’t! The glaze just looks like chalky paint, but it contains the chemistry necessary for glaze crystals to grow naturally in the right firing cycle.

Greenville, I can’t wait to see you May 12-14 (Mother’s Day weekend!) for Artisphere! 🌷🌷🌷 I’m working hard to get everything finished + ready for you.

One of the most common questions I get asked at shows is how I make the bottles with the tiny necks; usually I just say “lots of practice! 😉” but thought you might like to see a video of the actual process- the trick is to leave a little extra clay in the shoulder and work it from the outside when it’s time to close. Watching this video back it’s funny to see me try to smile and be camera aware at the beginning and then totally lose myself by the end and be fully absorbed/making slightly funny concentration faces.
